OTSEGO, MI | 2018 GMC TerrainJune 10, 2026We took our 2018 Terrian in to have the Sunroof fixed as it was not opening or closing properly. The motors and rails were just replaced a year and a half ago and was still under the two-year warranty from the dealership ( Baker ). They checked it out and determined it needed to be recalibrated which they did and now it works. The problem I have is you charged us $ 50.99 for the procedure and then charged us $ 9.18 for environmental disposal / shop supplies. NO Disposal required and no shop supplies used? I asked what caused it to become un-calibrated and was told it was a software updated through the air; I assume that met the cloud or internet? However, the car is not Wi Fi connected so I'm not sure how that could have happened. We paid for the service but deeply disappointed in the explanation and being charged for the service. We have bought two new vehicles from Baker in the last 8 years and doubtful that we will buy another from your dealership, which is too bad because it's a convenient location for us and the people are good to work with. Also note we had a similar problem with the same car when they fixed a coolant leak, they diagnosed it to be an oil leak and replaced the valve cover gasket. Then we picked it up, after I told them it was coolant not oil, the next day it was leaking coolant after we were told all was good. The real problem was a tube that runs to the turbo, it was replaced and cost me $ 77.00 and I'm sure that broke when they replaced the valve cover gasket. All is good now and appreciate any response you might have. Again, your service employees are good to work with I just lack confidence in the product supplied.
